The Australia Institute of Business and Technology (AIBT) held it’s first ever global conference in Capella Hotel, Singapore.

Attended by foreign dignitaries including the Education Minister of Nepal, the conference focused on the growing demand of niche education sectors such as drone operations and certifications as well as fresh approach to traditional education.

The day conference transited into an evening’s gala where entertainment such as the Chinese Face Mask Change as well as a Bespoke Calligrapher entertained the international delegation.

The IBF Distinction Awards 2018 celebrates the contributors of IBF partners and stakeholders as well as honours financial institutions and industry captains who have gone the extra mile in their commitment to the IBF Standards and in their demonstration of professional excellence.

Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Chan Chun Sing delivered the keynote address and presented the IBF Awards alongside Chairman of IBF Council and Managing Director, Monetary Authority of Singapore, Mr Ravi Menon.

In total, there were 7 IBF Distinguished Fellows and 28 IBF Fellows added to the IBF Community. There were also the IBF Inspire Award, IBF Aspire Award, the IBF Inspiring Educator Award and recognition for the learning partners in 2018.

COMPASS Events has been appointed by IBF in 2016, 2017 and 2018 for the IBF Distinguished Evening.

The Regional Financing Arrangements (RFAs) is an annual research seminar event jointly organized by ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), the European Stability Mechanism (ESM), and the Fondo Latinoamericano de Reservas (FLAR).

The seminar is an annual event aiming at bringing academics and institutions together to discuss key issues pertaining to global and regional financial stability.

The 2 days conference started with a hollow square and ended it’s proceedings with dinner in One Fullerton. Compass managed the sourcing of the F&B outlets as well as arranged for a tour of the Fullerton Hotel with STB’s appointed tour guides.

Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) has opened an office in Singapore as the $122 billion sovereign wealth fund continues to expand its alternative investments beyond it’s east Asian home base.

The event was held at the Westin Hotel and Compass managed the registration of the 200 guests on behalf of KIC. Menu choices as well as parking alternatives were followed up on a daily basis and after which, converted to actual on site registration using iPads.

Second Minister for Finance, Lawrence Wong was the VIP for the afternoon and gave an address during the luncheon.

Celebrating the Best Airline of The World Award, Qatar gave away lucky draw prizes were to guests and the grand prize was 2 Business Class tickets to anywhere in the world!

Fintech Festival Opening

LOCATION	Red Dot Musuem and Marina Bay Sands

The inaugural Fintech Festival opens at the Red Dot Museum with the Hackcelerator where 20 selected companies presents in front of a panel of judges as well as venture capitalists and investors. These solutions are intended to solve real-life industry problems in four areas, including customer-facing solutions, regulatory technology and financial inclusion. The Fintech Festival is the largest in the world and attended by 30,000 attendees.

At the same time, the MAS FinTech Awards recognises innovation Fintech solutions that have been implemented by Fintech start ups, financial institutions and technology companies.

The week long conference ended with the Closing Party at the Marina Bay Sands with the Sam Willows performing. A concert level audio visual system were put in place while space design ensured the 10,000 strong audience enjoyed the evening comfortably.
